About the House:
The Toney’s are excited to finally introduce their latest house project, Casa de Hoy, now for rent in Playa Junquillal, Guanacaste, Costa Rica! The property has undergone an intense renovation, transforming it from a run-down 2-bedroom, 1 bathroom house into a stunning 3-bedroom, 2.5 bathroom luxury Villa that sleeps up to 8 people. Featuring polished concrete floors and counters, handmade teak furniture and cabinetry by a local furniture maker, air conditioning throughout, high-speed internet, laundry machines, two large covered patios, a roof deck and a new 3.5 meter x 6 meter pool with waterfall.
Being next door to the original Casa de Mañana, where the Toney’s now permanently reside, new guests will enjoy the same conveniences as those before them, like being one hour and fifteen minutes from the Liberia International Airport (LIR), a 3-minute walk to the supermarket and multiple restaurants, including the guest favorite, Lochito’s Restaurant with Chef Numa and Mercedes, only 2 properties away. Walk to the sand, surf and sunset at Playa Junquillal, or Playa Blanca. Playa Blanca offers amazing snorkeling just by walking into the ocean from the shoreline!
Howler monkeys, parrots and much more frequent this property, where you can also hear the ocean from the large patios, or at tree level on the spacious roof deck overlooking the pool! Renowned surfing is found at Playa Junquillal, or a few minutes’ drive to Playa Negra. Playa Avellanas is about 15 minutes’ drive, and golfing is only 20 minutes away in Pinilla. All of our local beach communities have their own vibe and flavor. Explore them all and try choosing a favorite! All the nightlife and shops you want can be found in Tamarindo, about 30 minutes by car. Casa de Hoy is also on the public bus route, and a paved road!
Casa de Hoy is in Playa Junquillal in the Guanacaste province of Costa Rica. Playa Junquillal is an authentic Guanacaste town, rich with local culture. Our favorite part of living here is that we are in one of few beach towns that still has as many Tico residents as expats, and where you will see as many cowboys as there are surfers. In addition to the sounds of the ocean, howler monkeys and parrots, you will hear roosters, dogs, cows, horses, and beach-town festivities.
National parks, volcanoes, adventure tours, golfing and world-renowned surfing, snorkeling and scuba diving await our guests!
